Gotcha. Regardless, Fairport still has the right to enter the chat.
Saratoga is not at that level yet though. They are still getting their young guys to progress for future years. They also lost a guy who was their #1, who’s last name is bush. Hard to make up for that.
Corning was not at full strength. They were missing McLaren and Marcus Homa. Bange also ran slower than he did last year
They ran in the AAA race and Corning won the merge, but not by much.
Yes, looking to be a 4-team race between Corning/St. A/MW/Fairport. Saratoga could surprise people at full strength and in a couple of years they will be really good.
NXR-NY is shaping up to be a great team race. Saratoga's girls will qualify, but beyond that it's going to come down to which team peaks their back-end scorers the best. Impossible to pick right now.
I’m actually not surprised by how good the Bethlehem girls team is this year. They finished 3rd at feds behind fm and Saratoga, and they didn’t lose a single person from last year

Think there's any possibility that NY's girls could get two at-large bids this year? I think that all 4 teams would have to run well at the Regional. They will all look strong in direct comparison to the NE girls, at any rate.

I think it might actually be possible. But not certain. Earlier this year, FM almost beat Saratoga (but the gap between Saratoga 3/4 was large). CNS beat FM. This weekend Bethlehem beat CNS.
But, here are the latest Dyestat national rankings. These are normally terrible (waiting for milesplit to post new national team rankings soon. those are better but out of date) but here you will notice that CNS and FM are 24th and 25th. Bethelehem should be entering the chat soon. So 2 at large bids doesn’t seem very likely based on these. There are 4 CO teams in the top 14. Maybe in the Southwest region there will be 2 at-large bids. But I think the NY teams are underrated here.
