I didn't mean Grant is shaking in his boots...Just means that there's another top-echelon guy to worry about. Kiplimo has 57:30 strength and clearly is fit. Going to be hard to beat.
Slimane looking good again. Very patient race, signature finish. Korir still not there in the 800m, wondering if this year will be more like 2019 where he couldn't quite get it together in the 8 but ran very well in the 4.
Ha yeah, he just died. Korir went from 2nd to 5th not great either though a SB. I think Moula is firmly in my medal mix with Kinyamal, Zahafi and Burgin at the top and then Wanyonyi, Hoppel, Noah Kibet, Bol and the unknown Sedjati.
That's crazy. Fisher lost to Joe Klecker. He used a pacer in a championship race to win his 5k title. Barega is clearly better than Fisher, as is Cheptegei. He has a medal shot, and will need some luck, but Kiplimo showing fitness is not good news for him. I don't believe Fisher could have run 7:29 in that race, and people keep forgetting that Kiplimo split 27:05 and 26:56 for the first 10k of his last two HMs. The guy is a beast who has also out-kicked Jakob in a 3k. Fisher shouldn't be "worried" because elite athletes embrace competition, but his hunt for a medal just got harder
Did Kipruto go from 1st to 7th in the final 100? Ouch

Don't sleep on Arop. Destroyed the DL field last time now that he has figured out that he doesn't need to lead the whole race. Has yet to be in a field going fast the entire way this year.
Still not convinced that Burgin can handle 3 fast rounds - remains to be seen.

If Burgin gets to the final, he's favourite. All of those guys tonight were dying and the people who looked kind of strong, like Robert, were running 1:45. Burgin has looked supreme in his last two races, so smooth running 1:43 and 1:44 - at least until the race is over and he throws up.
I unfortunately no longer trust any Maghreb runner. Perhaps people in North Africa do not trust any American sprinter.
An American sprinter, an Algerian middle-distance runner, and a Kenyan long distance runner walk into a pharmacy in Iten. The American sprinter asks the pharmacist - 'can you give me some roids please? They're for my son - he's recovering from cancer and needs to build his strength up'. The pharmacist expresses his sympathy and hands the American the roids. The Algerian middle-distance runner asks the pharmacist - 'can you give me some HGH please? It's for my teenage son - he suffers from dwarfism and is only 2 foot tall'. The pharmacist expresses his sympathy and hands the Algerian the HGH. The Kenyan long distance runner asks the pharmacist - 'can you give me some EPO please? It's for my teenage son - he needs to improve his 5K by 40 seconds to get a contract'. The pharmacist expresses his sympathy and hands the Kenyan the EPO.

Yes I missed him! 1:44.39 to win Canadian champs and a 1:43.2 PB with multiple DL wins. Guy is firmly in the mix.

Moula was dying? Don't know what race you were watching. The other guys in the race outside of Korir are secondary contenders who Burgin is expected to beat even if they sneaked into the Olympics final last year.
Another guy I should toss in is Dobek who can't be discounted.
-- Femke Bol will win Worlds. She is jogging 52's. Absolutely gorgeous woman too. Stunning.
-- Another "intersex" male now dominating the women's 800. Sigh.
-- Wild men's 3000. Who is this guy who won?? And, like everyone else, I'm happy to see that Stewart is recovering from his jab injury. Wonder what protocol he followed.
-- Odds of picking a World favorite for the men's 800 is impossible. Totally random bunch of 1:44 dudes this year. It's crazy.

The Femke Bol obsession on this website is out of control. There's no way she's beating Syd. None.
She was completely dying and stumbling in the closing stages and was nowhere near as fast as Sydney ran after running two fast rounds in just a couple of days.

Gordon Ramzi's posting history tells you all that you need to know about that.
She was completely dying and stumbling in the closing stages and was nowhere near as fast as Sydney ran after running two fast rounds in just a couple of days.
This is incorrect. Femke was chillin' as usual. She's in 49.0/51.0 shape. She is the favorite for Worlds.
Syd can enjoy her silver. Her reaction to winning gold, silver, or DFL is the same regardless kek.
