Walking it off gingerly with an icepack. Looks like lower midbelly of the hammy. 6 weeks out from Eugene, let's hope he can recover in time to defend his title :/
En drøy måned før VM i Oregon åpnet sesongen på verst tenkelig vis for Karsten Warholm (26). Han kom seg bare over en hekk før han tok seg på baksiden av låret.
Karston Warholm on his injury today in Rabat: "I am very disappointed for this injury. I think it's a hamstring tear, I willl focus on treating it and come back stronger. I also feel sorry for the crowd." (photo: @london2017 by @ambassadorsmb), #RabatDL, #DiamondLeaguepic.twitter.com/CXzo7Vzhok
Yikes. I hope it's a small injury but that doesn't sound good. I want him at Worlds but it won't be the same if he's not 100%. I hope they treat it carefully
can understand how it would come across like i'm a hater, but it's part of the business. you don't get paid if you don't race. there was just something about it that didn't pass the eye test for me.
it was like he was already having hamstring strain issues and likely it didn't feel right over that first hurdle so he pulled up. at the very least it wasn't a catastrophic tear otherwise he'd have almost for sure gone down. instead he had a delayed reaction and basically just jogged it out on both legs.
If he was scared to lose he could just not have met as this wasn't on the plan originally. And by DNF he lost. So. Weird theory.

Lol, dude, Warholm isnt running in Rabat for the money, then he would just to the same in Eugene or Bislett instead.

eugene offered him about $30K i believe. 6hr flight to rabat v. 14hr flight to eugene.
not sure what he got paid at rabat, but going across the pond for 30k when not at 100% ain't worth it. if he was fit he'd have raced at pre 100%

Yes, he wasn't fit when he raced Pre. What I am saying is that if he was going to pull out from a meet as he was not fit (but wanted to pocket money) he would have done it in a bigger meet than Rabat. You can't even follow along on your own conspiracy theories.
