Hey guys, I'm 5 weeks into training for triwaco sprint triathlon (400m swim, 16 mile bike, and 3.4 mile run) . I know this isn't a triathlon forum, but this is the most accessible. So my 3 main questions are is my bike limiting me or is it me? I ride a hybrid bike (Schwinn Suburban ATX 21 speed to be exact), and my average is about 13-16 mph and i went on a few 20+ bike rides, and no matter how hard I try, when I do speed work, I can't average more than 16-19 mph for 8-10 min intervals. My other question is about running. Now I come from a running background and usually before this I had no problem running long runs, but now it's more difficult run them. Do you guys have any tips on self motivation. My final question is about how to swim more efficiently overall (but preferably open water)?
