Fun video and a cool idea. I'd like to see more elites do this. In-race GoPro footage should be a regular thing.
He definitely broke new ground here. Great to see him happy and running well again.
Thanks for sharing!
Stuff like this is great for the sport so see what goes on behind the scenes - why the speed suit, what his wife thought of the salute...
This is how to build a fan base - only thing missing was some shots of him opening a cabinet to get coffee.
Did he "butter his bread" in Puerto Rico?
Why would his wife care about the salute? Is this now being contrived into some racist thing?
Because he looked ridiculous.
Cool vid. Hope he makes it back to the top. He teased us with his old self at the Trials last year and then fell flat. Would be awesome to see him medal in Eugene.
In the videos where he is reviewing his trails run, it was clear that he wasn't even near his old self as he was battling a really bad hamstring injury. He said he was a race to race decision.
Hopefully he is back.
Awesome video; thanks for sharing. What was his time? That was the only thing missing from the video imo
Kinda crazy, but this video pointed out to me once again how much behind T&F is when it comes to social media / vlogging, compared to other sports.
Innovative idea for T&F, but boring to watch for non-sport followers. Very little emotion, not enough talking and dialogue. Also mediocre camera work / footage quality.
For 3-4k a month you can hire a cameraman to follow your footsteps everywhere you go and cut some awesome daily videos. In a year your followers grow to over a million, boom, a multimillion contract with Nike. Already done so many time in other sports. No serious pro in running has enough personality / energy / money for this?
Just watched it, thanks for sharing :)
Thought it was really cool. I hope he does it in the future it's a cool idea especially for nationals/DL races.
1:45, looking easy
Form looks great. He let up the last 20-30m. Looks like he's in low 1:44 shape and should be ready to go even lower at USAs and WCs.
I was hoping for some in race crap talking!!!!

Only a racist would ask if it was some sort of a racist thing.
People always looking for something racial where there isn't...SMH
He was asking whether it was too much in the sense of being showy, too arrogant, a la vintage Steve Ovett, not whether it was too patriotic or something like that. I enjoyed that. He is quite sharp already. But there's only about two months to the championships, so he is rounding into shape at the right time I think.
I was kinda suprised how out of the loop he was re: pace setters. "I heard the pacers are going out in :50" and he had go up to Sanchez at the start line to confirm the pacing plan? Would have thought meet organizers would advise all athletes of the pacing.

I forgit, why do we hate him?
Was anyone else surprised at his pre-race shoe routine?
Putting the spikes on for a couple strides 30 min before the race, then putting the trainers back on, then putting the spikes on 5 min before the race is psycho behavior.
