i had a stress reaction awhile ago, it was almost a stress fracture. so I partially treated it like one. i took 5 weeks off completely and swam a little. i then ran for 2 weeks, the longest run being 3 miles at the end of the second week, but then it began to hurt again, so i took another 3 weeks off, with no other activities at all. i tried running again yesterday, and it felt ok during the run, my tibia didnt hurt at all, however when i dont run it still bothers me. is it a phantom injury? is it natural for it to bother me still? when i hop on it it doesnt bother me at all.should i continue running or take more time off? and if so how much time should i take off?
