Teare I could see, Hocker I doubt. He's never really looked great in a 5k (yeah he's mostly raced on tired legs, but still), and he'd have to beat one of Fisher, Klecker (if he runs it), Teare, Kincaid, Chelimo, Nur, etc.... which is a tall order.
I agree but there are also no drawbacks to run the 5000m on the last day. ( I'm assuming he will make the 1500m team.)
Yeah I wouldn't be surprised to see him go for it, but the 5000m is much more stacked than the 1500 it seems. But if it's a slow race he's definitely got a great shot
The mens 10000 worlds standard is 27:30, why are their results saying its 28:20?
And what went down in the race? Seems odd everyone missed the standard when Robbo at least was there purely for that.
I could ask you the same question; the standard is 27:28.
Pacemakers were slow and dropped out before 2k. No one else wanted to take the pace. Frank Lara and Robbo took off before half way to try and reel the pace back in (trading the lead every lap), but seemingly didn't have it in their legs. They were caught by the pack with a mile to go. Robbo stayed at the front but was outkicked on the last lap by Talbi
