How about Terra Haute, Indiana?
The one thing I would recommend NOT doing is going sightseeing. Your wife will be exhausted from all the wedding planning and the heavy travel would wipe her out. She will have been planning for months.
You are going to want to relax. Put aside a good chunk of time.
Nonstop sex! Once married and the honeymoon has ended the sex ends. For wedding gifts ask for KY jelly, pocket pussies, XXX videos, and Penthouse subscriptions because come March you will need them.
Not necessarily true. I wasn't stressed or exhasted in the weeks leading up to my wedding and even got a run in with my bridesmaids the morning of. So ask your wife how tired she is or isn't before assuming things.
I recommend Big Bear Lake, CA. There's skiing and tobogganing and other winter activities, and it's about 2 hours from LA, about 3 from San Diego, so you could spend a few days in the city as well.
I'm getting married on Saturday, going to Maui, Hawaii is number one for honeymoons for a reason. Relaxed, no hassle, no passport, no language barrier. Can't go wrong with the traditional.
I went to jamaica, riviera maya to be exact. it was awesome. the people were so nice (stereotypical jamaicans) and all of the other people there were honeymooners as well. excellent beach, awesome hotel, lots of activities to take part in. hope that helps.
We went to Tahiti. Actually Bora Bora. Lots of options, including Club Med. BTW, as I recall, it's 18 miles around, and they actually have a Marathon that time of year--a marathon in 90 degree temperatures and matching humidity!
darnum, iowa. hot hot hot!
In February..... maybe San Diego. Or Skiing in the rockies. Or do the carribean thing.
We got married in July and went to Bar Harbor and that area in Maine. Spectacular.
Anguilla in British West Indies. Very laid back, not much to do except lay on the beaches and go to local bars in the evenings. IMO, that's basically what you want to do on a honeymoon. I've recommended it to at least 3 couples and all of them came back saying it was perfect.
Several good restaurants. Can be expensive during high season at the big resorts, and it's becoming the "in" place for celebs (Brad & Jen went there to try to salvage their marriage before it went kaput) but still realtively unspoiled and uncommercial compared to other Carib isles. Not the easiest place to get to - no direct flights from US, you have to change in San Juan or fly into St. Maarten and take the ferry over.
Listen, best thing you can do is throw it up her ass right off the bat. I know it sounds crude but it's really not. If you try to please her at the start, it's going to get harder and harder to convince her you ought to get to f*** that ass. Take control as soon as you get in that room. Undress her, act like you're taking it to the hole, then slip it in the backside. You'll own her from then on.

A bit cruder than I would have said, perhaps, but Mr. Lott speaks the truth. I've been married for 12 years and have to go to my sister-in-law's backdoor to get that love, if you know what I mean.
are you getting married in New Haven on February 18th?
Thanks for the ideas, getting married in Newport Beach,CA
or you'll be divorced from then on.
So did you go sightseeing for your honeymoon?

yeah actually i did. we drove all the way across the country. sightseed (sightsaw?) around every city that we stopped at plus some. A friend's wife was stressing way more than me before her wedding and she left on a trip to Europe the next day and spent a week traveling around there and she had plenty of energy once they arrived.
Go somewhere hot. It will be relaxing. For my honeymoon my wife and I spent 10 days in playa del carmen, mexico. It was an incredible time. Look into that, you won't regret it!
Went to the Greek Islands this year for our honeymoon. It was beautiful and something we will never forget. Look outside the US for something this special if you can afford it.
