Thanks for the reply. You make fair points. But what broadcasters need to hear (and act on) is that no one cares about the wheelchair races. Imagine an honest survey of viewers who are asked this about this. Less than 1% care about the wheelchair races, and all of those are virtue signalers or family members of the competitors. Sure, show a few clips and the winners crossing, but that's it. Second, while focusing on the leaders is key, you gotta highlight the Americans if you want marathoning to grow in popularity here. They did a good enough job highlighting Molly today (although were extremely late in telling us she dropped out) and CJ hung with the lead back long enough, but Fauble's comeback was amazing and deserved far more airtime. Relatable stars is what grows audiences. There is a reason that marathoning was FAR more popular in the 1970s and 1980s. I'll leave it at that.
