I'm actually a Red Sox fan, but I like watching Saratoga run(even though I want Hilton to beat em, I still respect toga a lot)
Hilton won't beat them... their top runner has lost her form, came in like 80th at Footlocker Regional. Something is off there... the #2 and #3 girls did great, 12th and 13th respectively. If the girl can get it back together after two bad meets (State and FL NE), then Hilton can beat 'Toga but that's a VERY big "if."
Will Blood, Caitlin Lane, Lindsey Ferguson, and Hannah Davidson compete on the same team at Nike Team Nationals?
Amanda Griggs from Hilton is ultra injury prone, which might explain the sudden drop off:

That or she simply peaked too soon. She broke Molly Huddle's McQuaid record AND Nicole Blood's Marcus Whitman record. She's no slouch, she just must have run out of good races.
Its a shame, with Griggs in top form I think Hilton WOULD win...but given what happened at FL, I'd be shocked to see her pull out a good race.
it is a shame. She hasn't been able to run a workout since sectionals. I really feel bad for her, last years xc season was ruined for her because of an injury too. Injuries really suck, especially when you stretch, warmup, and do about everything you can do to prevent them,.
Yeah, me too. Her sister came through with a nice season for DIII National Champs Geneseo after some nasty injuries, so hopefully its not over for Amanda.
(as an unrelated aside, re-reading its impressive the Geneseo coach was willing to work with her given S. Griggs' physical problems. He's notoriously inflexible regarding mileage (wants his women running a certain # of miles and no less) and nearly didn't let Melissa White - the one who runs for Hansons and has made three national teams - even go out fot the team.)
