JS is good, but the Swede's sweet spot is coaching sub elite guys who only have time for minimal mileage, example 50-60 miles per week.
Coach JS also has his hands full coaching up to a dozen runners in Keroka and Kericho, Kenya. These include famous Sammy Nyokaye, a 1:02:00/2:14:00 stalwart and former pacer in China.
JS coaches around 30 runners based in Keroka and Kericho with a flexible program allowing some modifications from the Kenyan runners. It is a hybrid program using part of JS's philosophy and their own input with local Kenyan coaches. I know this because I was right there for 5 weeks last year in April/May 2022. Check out Meguara Runners on WhatsApp to see what these guys do and numerous references to JS. Let's look at the good points. Thank you.

So if you send me a training plan and I do something different because of what other coaches tell me, you will claim to be my coach and take credit for my good results?
What a beautifull home! Good to see that he is able to live a comfortable life despite giving everything for his running, maybe with a bit hit and miss when it comes to the results. I had the impression ((based on nothing to be honest) that he was close to poverty but that is obviously not the case.

Looks like he's thinking long-term. Maybe coaching or even his own stable.

Re Julien Wanders: Kenya is his life. His wife is Kenyan, most of his friends are here. Even though his Kiswahili language skills are very limited (compared with Jake Robertson, for example) he is at home here and highly respected. With regard to Kiswahili, it is not necessary to be fluent in that language to do well in Kenya, although it certainly helps from an economic point of view, as you will get better prices in the markets and overall kudos from Kenyans. In addition you will understand the mores and psyches (of Kenyans) a lot better once you begin to attain fluency in Kiswahili. It is certainly not the most challenging language to pick up, being about mid level of difficulty in the languages learning chart. The famous Italian coach (sorry - his name escapes me momentarily) who lives in Eldoret (who was a disciple of Professor Canova) takes private Kiswahili lessons and sometimes acts as an interpreter when overseas for his athletes.
