This is a bit of a dated post informationally. Josh Kerr has been wearing the new Brooks wire this indoor season and has been smashing times. The On crew have recently acquired their own spike, which to be fair took time as that team is very new. Hoka has their own spikes they've been using since before last years trials. Asics got their own super spikes that Mo Katir hit all his quick times in. Adidas has had its own superspike for that were released prior to the US olympic trials as well. NB came out with theirs about the same time Nike did if I recall.
Saucony has not seemed to have anything. And for a good chunk of last year Brooks and On athletes were using Nike superspikes. But that was just to buy these companies time so they could release their own models. Which at this point most major players have.
You could argue the marathon is a different story, but again I think many major players are now at a competitive level there as well. Though that delay has certainly cost them very talented athletes that are already on contract. It's true some companies are still lagging, but realistically that will always be an issue, I don't expect Diadora to ever compete with Asics/Nike/Adidas/etc.
