This is nothing to make light of Weldon. While LRC is not the lynchpin of this situation, your post conveys a callous disregard for the violence and suffering going on at this moment in Ukraine. I find it ironic that your moderators will go to extraordinary lengths to protect certain posters from attack and ridicule that they invite, but you see fit to make fun of a poster's e-mail and, by extension, a military conflict that is taking civilian lives.

wejo, maybe you didn't cause the invasion, but this place does little about the Russian bots and their propaganda. This is a general internet phenomenon, not just a LRC issue. But yes, this place IS a part of the problem.

I honestly don't see a problem to address. We operate a forum where we allow people to express their opinions.

The goal of the forums is not to only present one world view (which I guess would be mine) to everyone else. I know I don't have all the answers so we welcome debate and discussion. Some don't like reading viewpoints they disagree with.

And always if there is a post you vehemently disagree with shouldn't be on the forums you can email us. I don't think I received a single email on anything about Russia unless the same emailer emailed me but he emails me all the time.

I thought the exact same thing, laughed, and sent it to the rest of the LetsRun team.

I did notice that during one of Putin's speeches he said something that loosely translates to "But is Ukraine update?" So, it does look like there is a Putin/Letsrun connection that merits congressional inquiry.

My apologies. I am not trying to make light of the situation in the Ukraine at all. I was very troubled by it.
I was more amused that with a terrible situation going on half way around the world, that someone immediately thought, "this is letsrun's fault."

Putin is a ruthless killer.

As for bots, with some of the Russian doping stuff I got a few emails that opened me up to the possibility that Russia might try and influence opinion on here but there weren't a lot of places where Russian doping is discussed on the internet in English.

Everyone knows Putin reads LetsRun in his spare time.
