European record for Mechaal!!!!
European record for Mechaal!!!!
Unbelievable. NBC showed the entire 3k race. No field event or commercial break.
Good job NBC. Do that again.

Great run, just ramping it up after the pacer dropped. Apparerntly last Sunday he won the Spanish Cross Country Championships.
That was amazing from Mechaal, just smashed the field and ran solo to 7:30. Everyone's sleeping on him for the 1500 in Eugene but 5th at the Olympics and his firm si far this year suggests he's a medal threat.
I was surprised to see Wightman fade so hard over the last 200. That 800 speed was just run out of him
expected andy to be closer to mechaal, but i guess he is more of a 5k guy vs 1500 for adel. nice run for luis again.

But it wouldn;t be a pro track meet if I didn't complain about the announcing. They total missed the fact that it was a European record. Were they watching the same race as me? On the last lap, Des was acting about the big move being made in 2nd as if the race was in doubt. No - the only thing in doubt was the European record.
Touché
Absolutely correct. We all love Des as an athlete. As an announcer, not so much.
What kind of gas are the Spaniards on today?
I’ll Take Des over Craig Masback, Sanya Richards Ross or Lewis Johnson any day
The international feed on Youtube has good annocers.
Great meet
Great results for Spain. 3 wins, 2 NR, 1 ER

I’m sure Mechaal would beat him at 5k, too.
Sumner runs a passive 1:48, looks like a clear 1:46 guy. Would love to see that Granville record broken this year.
27.02
26.88(53.89)
27.30(1.21.18)
26.96(1:48.14)
C'mon Colby. Represent! Enough of these international runners taking every event.
Colby, Gordie & Gregorak going with Sowinski.
Colby going hard early (too early?)
The gutless Chris Chavez turns off replies to his Nikki Hiltz interview tweet—what a heroic “journalist” he is.
Colby gets caught but nice effort. As Des said, "high risk, high reward"
