I'm a little surprised that people aren't understanding what Rojo is saying.
Of course a DNF in and of itself is never good. However, in the long term, would you rather be coaching a young freakishly good athlete who goes for the win even if it "not their event". Or, would you like a young freakishly good athlete who plays it safe. I would go with the former.
Yep, she ignored the cues her body was giving her that the pace was too hot. So, DNF. I believe, though, what was a "weakness" today that resulted in the poor finish can (and will) be turned into a strength tomorrow that will allow her to reach great heights.
Plus, the Brojos get ripped on all the time for their "racists" takes. So, being a "fanboy" of Athing makes sense.
