I am 45 year old male and was vaccinated early in 2021 on with the Pfizer series. I got the third Pfizer booster in December.
Over the course of the pandemic, I haven't been especially careful. I wear a mask only when I have to, and while I don't often go out to dinner, I have a few times. I have 3 school age children who are NOT vaccinated, and have had a number of minor colds(maybe covid, we never test them) over the course of the pandemic.
I haven't been properly sick since 2019. That is probably the longest Ive ever gone without a cold. Over the course of the pandemic 4-5 times Ive felt like I was getting sick in the afternoon. Maybe a cough or ichy throat. Other times a fever sensation, ect. Every time, all of the symptoms are gone in the morning.
Does it seem logical that these short colds are really just covid, and my body can quickly clear it due to vaccination?
Is it possible that the covid vaccines are effective against the more common and less serious coronaviruses?
Seems like it is difficult to find reliable information about the effects of the vaccine because everything in our world is so polarized now.
