As the title says, I ran a half marathon yesterday in some pretty bad weather. Winds were 25-30mph with gusts of 35-40mph. The heavy rain passed in time for the race but there was still a little during. Pretty much equal amount of head and tailwind during the run, though a good amount of crosswind that blew me to the side a lot. Because of the rain beforehand I didn't have time to run any warmup at all before the race. Also, I'm in the middle of marathon training so this was at the end of a two week 100mpw training block. I intended to run this as a workout, hitting goal marathon pace, so was wanting to come in around 1:15 but figured it would be a little slower with the conditions. Finished in about 1:16:15 and felt like I still had some left at the end (but not a lot, just wasn't all out). My PR is 1:14 Low from a couple months ago but I think I'm in better shape now. So I'm wondering what I could run now for a half marathon if I were tapered, had good weather, and planned on running it all out.
