More detailed story from the Runnerspace crew. I now realize he was the same guy who brought his high school to 3rd place in the Illinois state meet by himself.

Very sad wtf no. A man my age dying is always something that pisses me off. ITs like reading that one of my hs friends died. Matt S, is one of my track memories. I KNOW who that guy is.
My obituary post got deleted. Not sure why. Here it is again. There's an autopsy pending and I wonder of the cause of death.
Very sad to see this news. I went to high school close to Matt and was awed by his performances. I remember watching him run 46.16 in the 400m and being completely blown away. His sister was a collegiate teammate of mine, and they seemed like very nice people. Matt was obviously an outstanding pacer as well.
Not sure how he passed away, but hopefully he will be remembered as the nice, talented guy he was.
His obituary was sad, but also incredible. What a high achiever:
"He exceeded
1,000 points in basketball, tied school records in golf, and maintains several track & field records in both sprints and jumps.
He
graduated in 2002 as a Valedictorian
and received a
Presidential and Athletic Scholarship to the University of Oregon
, where he competed on the Track & Field team and was a
2-time Academic All-American
. As a NCAA Division I athlete, he was a
9-time All-American and broke five University records – two of which remain intact: both indoor and outdoor 4x400m relays.
After graduating in 2006 from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management, he pursued a
professional running career from 2006 – 2014 with the Oregon Track Club and Nike, and later with Brooks Running.
He started as a competitor and later transitioned to a pace-setter where he was considered the
#1 ‘Rabbit’ in the world
. As a professional athlete, he was a
2-time Team USA Member and competed in the 2008 USA Olympic Trials, finishing 12th in the 800m.

assuming suicide is not something you can do, especially since right now there is another cause of death that is even more censored than suicide. Seems to be affecting a lot of top European Football(soccer) players.
Instead of being cute and passive aggressive, why not just wow us with your wacky conspiracy theory?
