Betting that when Tuohy retires from running after college, people will gush about how smart she is to pursue a real career instead of running. Any hiccup in her development will always be either due to a phantom injury or to pursue her education. She is the best high school XC runner of all time. She is a very good college runner. But the odds of her progressing to the point of earning a living is very slim. It is amazing how little attention Mu gets in comparison to Tuohy even though they were in the same class. Mu will have a faster lifetime best in the 1500 than Tuohy.
This sort of reminds me of the days when some folks complained that Mary Cain was getting too much attention compared to Ajee Wilson who was a better lock for pro potential. Of course, those folks who predicted Ajee over Cain were correct but as we know, there was a lot to that story.
I doubt Tuohy crashes like Cain but it's obvious that Mu is already a lock for pro greatness.
Shes worked extremely hard
why is there even a 800m runner vs distance runner comparison?
katelyn tuohy runs 50-60 miles per week and runs 6 types of distances while the latter runs what? please go compare athing mu to her competitors, or sprinters(coz 200m and 400m is much closer to 800m than 3000m and 5000m and 6000m) and fellow pros and not to a hs phenom whos a sophomore engineering student running for her school (whos running extremely well and is still breaking records a year after knee surgery)

whos gonna tell him katelyn tuohy ran 4:12 at 1500m 8 months after knee surgery earlier this year??? lol pls stop dreaming, healthy and fit athing mu has a 4:16 1500m PR .. stick with your 800m stats
Mu will have a faster lifetime best in the 1500 than Tuohy. If you are suggesting that her lifetime best will be stuck at 4:12, are you also predicting that her 3k and 5k will not improve either? That doesn't make sense for a 19 year old.
What was the knee surgery?
