You will just lie about it later which is why you haven't provided his name. If we are discussing a fast American 17 year old, we use his name.

A young runner who came to me 5 months ago today ran 1:53.5 for his first 800m race since he was 13. What is the best time you can remember for a high school runner in their first race.
For any USA college coaches interested he will probably run under 3:50 for 1500m by the end of our season here in Australia which concludes in March.
At the end of every season, we held an intramural meet for anyone on campus who wasn't on the team. A lot of fraternities formed relays and it was usually a lot of fun. Anyway one of the houses had a kid who I think was on the tennis team for a year come out and he won the 100, 200, 400, and both jumps in like a ninety minute span.
Coach gets him on the team, first 400 he runs in trainers and runs 50-mid. He was already a junior so he only got two years on the team, but ended up setting five records and was A-A. He was also like 6'6 and didn't use blocks.

Thanks for sharing.
For college coaches looking to add to their middle distance squad I have Max Rosin a 1:50.05 800m and 3:57 for 1500m and Luke Levay 1:53.5 and 3:56.19 that train with me in Australia. They would be looking to enter USA universities in the fall of 2022.
Max has an IAAF profile page but as stated Luke is a relative beginner.
Cheers
Rosin would be a college sophomore in the US. I wouldn't give the kid a penny but would allow him to walk on.

Yet if he trained in Kenya he would be running 1.43 at the same age. Something in the water.
Your head? Take a breath, it will help you, believe me.
