I like reading these posts. When I read them I am assuming most of the people that post here don’t have families. Once you have a family your perspective changes tremendously and your decision to coach at certain places will change. For example, I turned down an opportunity to become a head distance coach at an NCAA Division program because of location where I am an NCAA DIII head coach. We moved to a location where it will be easier for my wife to get a job and my two beautiful children will have more opportunities for a better education and more sports. If I was single then my perspective would be absolutely different and I would of taken that D1 position. Sure Lagat is at U of A, but I am sure there are other important reasons for him to go to ASU. Not sure if Coach Ryan has a family, but I would rather squeeze my beautiful kids at the end of the day then worry about a star athlete. My point is that people leave their positions to go to other places because of family no matter what team or divisions. I love reading these posts!
