Why do we hate Alec Baldwin? Because he is one of the biggest jerks ever and he goes around battering innocent people. His Trump impersonation means nothing to me.
Yep. F*cking morons. This is the right decision and in line with what I said it should and would be. I'm no Alec Baldwin fan, but what happened here was an accident and NOT the fault of Alec Baldwin. The legal system has spoken. Dumba$ gun nut morons lose.
Baldwin already paid millions of dollars in civil court which means A Baldwin has admitted the shooting was his fault.
ALSO, the terms of the settlement were not disclosed, so you don't know if Baldwin paid "millions" or not. Just BS crap from you.
The production company for Rust paid $100,000 in OSHA penalties over the accident. I actually think that should have been MUCH more...but holding Baldwin legally accountable for her death was an insane path...one that prosecutors eventually came to realize. Dummy.
Why do right wingers hate Alex Baldwin? Because he made fun of the orange Imbecile on SNL.
The charges may be refiled.
Probably not, but Baldwin will NEVER face criminal punishment for this. It was a tragic accident, and he is not guilty of any crime here and will not ever be found guilty of a crime here. I know you Trumpers don't like to let anything go that might in any way be construed as a win for liberals, but your hopefulness here will not bear fruit. AND, by the way, this isn't a win for liberals...it is a win for justice. I know you Trumpers don't have a clue what that means.

Flagpole, you are a movie star filming a movie. You are handed a gun and point at a person and fire without making sure it only has blanks. You don't think at a minimum he was negligent?

Criminal law is complex. You seem unable to grasp that.
Eg. Jacob Rubenstein was awaiting a second trial for shooting Lee Oswald. If J Rubenstein had lived and prevailed in second trial, would you believe Dallas County criminal court results or would you trust your lying eyes?
Not A Baldwin's fault? Give me a break. Do I understand county and state prosecutors are used to beating up on over worked and under funded public defenders every day? Do I understand county & state prosecutors do not know what has hit them when they are dealing with multi-millionaires whom are willing to spend 25 million dollars for their legal defense. I get that. That does not mean A Baldwin is innocent.
If Baldwin was charged and found guilty here, every actor would need to become a fire arms expert before they handle a weapon on the set of a movie going forward.
Baldwin wasn't handed the gun by some random person off the street.
It was handed to him on the set of a movie by persons whose sole responsibility it is to make sure that there are no live rounds in the weapon. It is reasonable to assume in that scenario that the weapon is a prop gun and does not contain live ammunition.
What jury was going to find someone guilty in such a scenario? Case closed.

We are all a little dumber due to reading your post.
Criminal prosecutors do not believe they can make a criminal case against A Baldwin which would result in criminal conviction of A Baldwin. That is not the same as saying it was not A Baldwin's fault. A Baldwin already paid millions of dollars in civil court which means A Baldwin has admitted the shooting was his fault.
It doesn't mean that. It means he doesn't want to contest the issue. Not the same. The settlement can be read as an acknowledgement of the loss the family suffered. That is not an admission that it was his fault.

You haven't stated the full facts. That is why he is not facing any charges now.

It is irrelevant whether you or anyone think he is innocent - as is your comparing his situation with another that isn't analogous, that you can only speculate about. Baldwin is no longer facing criminal charges. The prosecutors would have made a decision the charges couldn't stick. He is therefore "innocent" to the extent he can't be found guilty of homicide.

CORRECT!
Also, just to reiterate, the ignorant dumba$$ who posted that has NO IDEA what the settlement was for as that is not public information, so he doesn't know if it was "millions" of dollars or not. Just a know-nothing showing us all how much that is true.

1) Show me you've lost the argument by bringing up Lee Harvey Oswald. Good grief, dude.
2) It was clearly not Baldwin's fault. He is so "not guilty" that prosecutors don't even want to try to convict him...because they know he would lose...because it wasn't his fault.

It is BEYOND ridiculous for an ACTOR to have to be a firearms expert to handle what has been determined to be a PROP gun and was given to him by someone whose job it was (an expert nonetheless) to make sure the gun was safe.
The ONLY thing really that is amazing to me is that a prop gun can't be completely rendered harmless. 3d print one that is inoperable or make one inoperable. Silly that this isn't a thing.

CORRECT! And this is how it should be in this case. Idiot gun nuts go home devastated.

Flagpole, you are a movie star filming a movie. You are handed a gun and point at a person and fire without making sure it only has blanks. You don't think at a minimum he was negligent?
Nope...not negligent. I would not have to be (and Baldwin is not) a firearms expert in that situation. The gun was handed to me (and Baldwin) by a Prop Master who IS a firearms expert. Why do you assume that an ACTOR should know the difference between blanks and not blanks? Why do you assume an ACTOR would be able to safely even CHECK to see what the gun was loaded with? If Baldwin had been checking to see what it was loaded with and the gun went off and killed someone, would you blame him then?
So NO, no negligence here for Baldwin PERSONALLY, and definitely not criminally. The company that produced the movie already paid $100,000 for an OSHA violation (which I have already stated should have been higher), and if the PROP MASTER or whomever it was whose job it was to check the gun before handing it to Baldwin is charged with criminal negligence, then I am ok with that. But for BALDWIN to be charged criminally for this? No freakin' way...and the law agrees. Your attitude about this is 100% wrong.
