NCAA xc is never a sure thing.
Mantz is like 26, right? Sort of unfair.

He's 24, but you already knew that. He's 25 on December 8th
DOB: December 8, 1996
So 24.
Is there a recorded DOB for Kiptoo? WA doesn't seem to have one.
Neither seem to be breaking any NCAA rules.

Most "high school losers" are moving up to a corner office while Grandpa is entering his "junior year".
Dude, not everyone needs to operate within the time frame you did. What a pretentious way to think

Is it unfair for 9th graders to race 12th graders in high school? Is it unfair for true freshman to race 5th year seniors? No. So why is it unfair for 21-23y.o to race 25-26y.o?
I have a hard time thinking a guy who ran 13:12 last spring and got 4th at the Olympic trials can’t beat Mantz and win it all.
(His name is cooper teare)

Well, the soon to be 25 year old mantz is racing 20 year old seniors and 17 year old freshmen. And when mantz is a 34 year old senior, he'll be racing 20 year old seniors and 17 year old freshmen. Hey, if he has nothing better to do with his life than beating up on children.........

Pheidippides may have died after his long run from Marathon to Athens in 490 BC but he was resurrected as Mantz.
He wasn't resurrected, that was Mantz.
If Kiptoo doesn’t take it out too fast, it’s his to lose
Too bad Hocker is out as he turned pro. Seen him at the Wild Duck in Oregon and bought a round for the gang.

Did Hocker use his fake ID? He’s not old enough to buy a round

Covid-19 can take him out. Just needs to test positive and he's done.

I agree. You also didn’t note that last time her ran the XC national championships he was 6th. 2019 he was 6th and that was before his breakout year. I think combining he was 6th in 2019, and all he did last year he should be the massive favorite.

There are races for age groups. Other than that. It's just races for people attending college.
What's so hard to understand about that? Did you finish college?
Henry Rono (Washington State) was 27 by the time he won his 3rd XC championship.
Kiptoo and some others may be able to win. Conner is very good. The race will be fast.

Expect Teare to come in about 6th. Did you not just see Kiptoo leave Teare in the dust?

Yes. A real college, not a clown college. And in four years, not 14. And the races for age groups, those are called masters' races, which mantz should be entering instead of his umpteenth year of racing 17 and 18 year olds.
