Who's her boyfriend? Asking for a friend, she looks vaguely Ukrainian.

Is Laura Thweatt off Team Boss? Emma’s last IG story seemed to imply so.
Yeah, poorly kept secret. Wanted no part of Emma's Elk Run 5K last month. No mention of Team Boss in her SM bios or posts of late, does mention "Team Thweatt" in a recent post. Just watch, she'll wind up with Boulder Underground.
Ya ,Laura wanted no part of Emma C and her team hierarchy . That Jamaican girl and South African 16 minute 5ker are still their .
Wonder what happened? I can guess the ‘thon wasn’t the priority with the team, but now Bates is there.
Thought Emma and Laura were friends from the CU days, and she did get 5th at the OTs with the boss. Seems like Bates and her are still friends.
Anyway, Laura is one of those I wish made the marathon team.

Dominique Scott-Efurd's 5 000 pb is 14:59 - a bit faster than 16.xx.

Huge props to Bates.
Hall has been running her mouth about American records for a couple years now, but she's FAR behind Seidel and now Bates. Hall is a choker.
Bates comes through in the clutch. Quiet but gets the job done. Respect.
This is an absurd take. Since 2019, Hall has lowered her PR to 2:20, ran a PR in Berlin, made the podium in London beating a strong field in tough conditions, and now made the podium in Chicago (admittedly, against a weak field). She went out hard and suffered, but still came third in a WMM. Bates had a stunning race, and Seidel gets all the credit in the world for her Olympic medal. But put all three in the same race in London or Berlin, and Hall wins.

I don't know if Hall can still beat Seidel or Bates, but she arguably was America's best marathoner for a couple of years before O-trials. With the emergence of Seidel and the continued improvement of Bates, Hall has shown she still is one of America's top three women marathoners, but at 38 she is on the downside of her elite career, while Seidel and Bates still are in the early stages of their elite marathoning careers.
Not if it was warm like this year in Berlin.

Nose ring? Nice, that makes me like her even more

I'm glad she didn't.
Laura is always very pleasant but reminds me of Des Linden in the fact that it is tough to find training partners that get along. Laura needs to get back to Lee Troop if she really wants to be good again. Laura was great with Troop because she was queen.
She will NEVER be a part of Boulder Underground as she already burned that bridge with Matt.

Laura burned the bridge with Troop, and Matt certainly played his role. Maybe Benji Durden could be persuaded? Kathy Butler? Mark Plaatjes?

Did she walk all over Troop, or what do you mean by "queen?"
