Top 10 american all time in less than ideal conditions, and a perfectly run race for 2nd, regardless of the field, incredible run!

Better than Jordan Hasay at this point.
Bates had the fastest split in the field for every split after halfway:
Half-25K: 13:13 (fastest split by 5 seconds)
25K-30K: 17:00 (fastest split by 21 seconds)
30K-35K: 16:59 (fastest split by 53 seconds)
35K-40K: 17:08 (fastest split by 1:05)
40K-Finish: 7:33 (fastest split by 2 seconds)

Who ??
This post was removed.
Awesome run. She didn't look all skinny in the video at the end either. Made her arms look strong. How much does she weigh? Obviously she's strong. An emerging hero.
Can't believe she ran a negative split on that course. Very good.
After Marathon Project she was very open about her struggles in that race. She actually ran I thought pretty decent there for a race that she said wasn't going well from the start so i wonder if that experience helped her today.
I tried to ask her that at the press conference but my question didn't get in in time.
Bates is single? I thought she was married. What happened to the cool cabin at altitude. Did she dump the husband and dogs at the animal shelter?
I’m in love.
They divorced, and she's now in Boulder with Team Boss.

Been divorced for like a year now?
House was for sale for like 300k if you want to buy it

She still has her samoyed. The other dog probably belonged to her ex. Also, save the jokes for the professionals.
She had the Covid in 2020.
Is Laura Thweatt off Team Boss? Emma’s last IG story seemed to imply so.

Yeah, poorly kept secret. Wanted no part of Emma's Elk Run 5K last month. No mention of Team Boss in her SM bios or posts of late, does mention "Team Thweatt" in a recent post. Just watch, she'll wind up with Boulder Underground.
Huge props to Bates.
Hall has been running her mouth about American records for a couple years now, but she's FAR behind Seidel and now Bates. Hall is a choker.
Bates comes through in the clutch. Quiet but gets the job done. Respect.
Hall is a fantastic athlete. Sadly, she leaves her races in workouts. Trains way too hard IMO. Did same before 10k trials. But again, amazing athlete
I do not support anyone that has a stupid nose ring.
