Why cant they run the wheelchairs a few hrs later, so they can do their entire coverage.
People want to watch marathons to see RUNNERS.
Its annoying to break to see wheelchairs. Do it on their own time later. The reality is they wont get viewers, so now they have to annoy the rest of us.
This is a lose-lose for everyone.
I am a top-level wheelchair athlete. I wonder why they can do the runners a few hourse later, so they can do their entire coverage. People want to watch the wheelchair athletes. Its annoying to break to see the runners. do it on their time later. This is a lose-lose for everyone.
Can someone please tell this David Wade dude interviewing athletes at the finish line that "normality" is in fact a word? He corrected the Swiss female winner by telling her it's "normalcy." Sorry, they're both correct, but "normality" is the more acceptable choice. Where were you for the past year and a half, David? Since the beginning of Covid, "normality" has been one of the most uttered words in the English language! </rant>

Yep. And the leaders's splits have come in. They are only 54 seconds back at 30k.
He made it interesting.
original prediction? flip flopper:).
Did you really think he'd win off of that pace? Come on, you are smarter than that, way smarter.
What's weird about these pedestrian times is the wind was less than predicted. It's like 6 opr 7 mph.

Isn't it also Wanjiru's home? Or maybe where he died...? I recognize that town name.

When Cheptegei was 9999m into his 10k world record, Rojo posted "I changed my prediction. He's gonna break the world record". True story.

God the wheelchairs are so annoying. It only seems to be at American races too. You don't see a freaking wheelchair race at Valencia, Dubai, etc. interrupting the feed. They should be sharing the course with a bike race, not a running one anyways as they are more akin to bikes.

If Shalane beats Jordan I hope we don't see any facing adversity quote by Kobe in her instagram.
Adios CJ!
Nell still smiling. Good on her. C J Albertson appreciation thread forthcoming.
No way Yuki would have let CJ run away. I’m surprised kirui and desisa didn’t make the pace hotter.
I'll disagree with Kara. I'll bet a lot of money they go right by him.
He's so done.
Well he gets the Balls of Steel Award. He had nothing to lose by going for it. Glad he took his shot.
