I pay attention to facts, but tune out mentally ill people with several usernames.
When a normal person posts some facts I'll check it out.
The UNvaccinated, who make up 40% of the US population constitute 95% of recent COVID deaths.
1) Yes, Hawaii and Vermont have the lowest all-time COVID rates (cases/capita and deaths/capita), head and shoulders better than all other states.
2) Vermont has the lowest COVID case rate and COVID death rate of any state in the union. Hawaii is the only state that is close.
3) If Vermont triples their death rate, they'll be on par with Idaho. No doubt Vermont turning into Idaho is Ghost's concern.
4) For perspective, 7 day cases per 100k:
VT: 262
ID: 569
7 day deaths/100k:
VT:2.08
ID: 11.8
5) "In a pandemic briefing Tuesday, top health leaders said roughly 80% of those receiving hospital care for the disease during the past week have been unvaccinated. In intensive care units, the percentage during that period is even higher — approximately 84% of those being treated were not vaccinated."
Want to guess which 3 states currently have the lowest "hospitalized with covid" rates (per capita)? You mentioned all of them all in your post: MA, VT, CT.
6) Countrywide, cases, hospitalizations, and deaths are way higher now than in June. Urban or rural, east or west, vaccinated or not. Sad but true. Outcomes are much better in the more-vaccinated states.
7) In Vermont, the 20% UNvaccinated account for approx 80% of those in hospital with Covid.
