I'm looking to lower my 1.5 mile time (military pt test) from the high 9s (9:40-9:50) to low 9s or even sub 9.
Would it be more beneficial to train for the mile and just hash out the last half or would it be more beneficial to train for the 5k?
I currently run between 20-30 miles per week depending on my class assignments and my work schedule for that week.
