It was meant as a joke... like how people always produce the Yorkshire Olympic medal table. Nevermind.
I didn't want to gloat.
Then you're definitely not from Yorkshire

Stats not your strong point then?

Good win for Scott, the best result of his career. Very good debut for McColgan, only below Radcliffe and her mum on the UK all-time list. Seidel looked fried, I'm still surprised she is doing New York. Rupp hit his level, he's a 60:30 guy now and 61 on that course is about where he should be.
McColgan is making a big mistake trying her hand at the marathon. She is built for the track, at most 5000m. Her running form will lead to injury over longer distances. I think 1500m is the event she will excel at.
Why? If Eilish can run that that time on that course, why wouldn't she have a future in marathon racing?

Again, her form is not suitable for a sustained marathon career. This is my hunch. Why give up a promising middle distance career?
She's 30 and never been very competitive at 1500. She's good for a non-African over 5k and 10k which means she's finishing maybe 8th in global champs. On the roads, she can get some solid results if she can run 67 on that course - it's easily worth a minute compared to, say, Valencia. I don't know how long her body can hold up to 100 mile weeks of training but as I said, she's 30 and likely only has 5 years of her career left. I can easily see her running 2:25 and being top Brit at the London marathon

Well Marc Scott is a local runner, so they should know who he is by now.
He's from Yorkshire, it might as well be another country
Yeah, it would take a whole 30 minutes for him to drive there.
Northallerton to Newcastle is at least a 1 hour drive

Remember a couple years ago when there were so many people on this forum convinced Rupp was a 2:04 marathoner? Come on guys, hit me with that gymnast mental math! Tell me about how today indicated an AR in Chicago!
Yep, any moment now, Rupp will "pop" a 2:04.

Only if you drive on on the wrong side of the road - oh, I forgot, brits.
