Fredericks on the list??? He has no olympic gold
Even if i acknowledged what you are saying. Koch in top 10 is a tad bit ridiculous. Who would you replace in the top 10 with Koch?

Really? How can the current WR holder in the 100 and 200 be ranked so low? How many sprinters on this list have concurrently held the WR in the 100 and 200? Bolt has done it. Bobby Joe Morrow held both records back in 1956 in the hand-timed era, but I don't think anyone else has done it. That should probably move Morrow up as well.

IT's not a but ridiculous to put her in top 10, but a must to put her in top 5. Only one who must remain ahead of Koch is Bolt.
Meritt and wariner are right next to each other so it doesn't matter much. I just think that merritt had more consistency.
Felix makes up for her olympic failing by being a beast at world championships and she is the most decorated track and field athlete of all time if you include relays and third most decorated sprinter of all time individually after Bolt and Ottey.
People need to stop hating on kenteris. Yes the competition wasn't the best when he won and he was only really competitive from 00 to 02 but you can only beat the man in front of you.

He has a world championship gold 7 international silvers and an indoor record. Schippers is pretty high on the list and isn't as accomplished.
Are you part of Koch PR team or something. Can you please justify putting her in top 10. Don't bother with trying to justify putting her in top 5, that is literally not justifiable. Even accounting for the fact that the world championship wasn't what it is when she ran, she just doesn't have to accomplishment to justify top 10, much less top 5
I put the cutoff at just sprinters with more than 1 individual gold at the olympics/worlds.

It's a MUST to put her in top 5.
7 WRs in the 400m, WR holder since over 43 years (2 year interruption). 4 WRs in the 200m, still Nr. 8 all-time. 2 times part of relay WRs in both 4x1 and 4x4. Various indoor WRs.
WC silver over 100m + WC gold over 200m, OG gold over 400m. 3 times EC gold over 400m.
Only weak points: injured at OG 76 (age 19) and retired at age 29. Could be Nr. 2 behind Bolt, but not a question she is in top 5.

De Grasse should so obviously be ahead of Kenteris.
Having Jesse Owens ranked #36 lumped with ten others is a good joke.
Elaine needs to win more
Yeah, there are definitely some flaws in my approach and it does favor more current sprinters but this is the best i can do. I am not very informed on track and field pre 1980 aside from what my parents and grandparents told me
Is it had to say how athletes would do in different era so i can only judge them by what they do in their era.
Schippers does have really well at world champs
Flo-jo longevity was way too short
nah Koch is very underrated. She isn't even good enough to shine MJ shoes
Overrated*
De Grasse has only one 1 olympic gold. Kenteris won an olympic gold and a worlds gold
Lewis only really showed up for one year
I'd put Powell on the list.
