No one is going to touch her.
No one is going to touch her.
I think the trouble with Allie O besides her personal problems is that she is not a track runner as she does not have classic track speed needed to excel on that turf. I think she would be an excellent Half/Full marathon runner.

As Kate Grace get 2nd at the DL final….
Kate Grace is still BTC . She doesn’t like running with the all the 4:15 ,1500 women at team Boss.

She has a self-sabotaging condition. I'm sure Mackey did nothing wrong. If she can score her own sponsorship, stay with Brooks or sign with Saucony or Puma, she'd probably be a perfect fit for Team Boss.
Please list every instance of her self-sabotaging. This is simply not true. How is she a perfect fit for Boss too? Where are you coming up with this stuff. If I had to guess I'd say On or maybe a "female-oreiented" group like Molly Seidel's.
You ARE aware she has an eating disorder, right? And that it's certainly not gone? As for Team Boss, it's essentially a "female-ORIENTED" group.
The span between the Olympics and Worlds is going to be AWESOME.

Its not Dannys fault she cant stay healthy for 4 months. Its tragic that her eating disorder is destroying her career but it has caught up with her and I agree no coach will want to fight that uphill battle.
I'm a big Allie fan but these suggesting she switch to the half....how? She cannot run the mileage needed to be competitive. Molly Seidel is an outlier for eating disorder endurance success.
AND Molly left running behind to get real help. Then returned to running after she was well enough to handle it.
In other sports they change coaches all the time, if its not working for her she should to.
You can only expect abject negativity from Letsrun. Goes with the territory, and this thread is emblematic. The problem is not with AllieO, Danny Mackie, or any others mentioned here. The problem lies with YOU trolls, and with the brojos for allowing and perpetuating the vitriol.
That said, and have thought this for years, Allie's future lies in the mid-range roads and trails. Like Grayson Murphy. Going forward it's going to take sub 9:18 or even sub 9:15 to make teams in the steeple, and Allie will probably top out in the mid-low 9:20s.

She would probably do very well training with Molly Seidel who has not only had an eating disorder as well, but seems to have the type of personality that Allie could follow and trust her. Allie may do best training like a marathoner and still race steeple. Seidel could still be very competitive in the US over 5k/10k she’s just better at the ‘thon.

For someone who can't stay healthy I don't think a high mileage program/training partner is right. At least immediately.

You're right, it's not her problem at all. It's our fault she can't fuel her body properly, looks like a 12 year old and has stress fractures all the time.
If true, hoping nothing but the best for her. Dk the dynamics over there but on the surface level Danny seems to do better with the men's team.
Allie has also had a lot of injuries. A new start might be good all the way around. It wears on someone if you keep going through that kind of a pattern when you just want to compete.
