Very very fast time. I'm not familiar with this course, curious to see how she does at Woodbridge.....
So far (to me), the big match up at Woodbridge looks to be Engelhart vs. Lauren Ping:
https://gvarvas.com/sweepstakes-and-rated-entries-list/Ping ran a 16:09 there two years ago (good for 2nd). And she's coming off track PR's from this past Spring, and a speed rating of 157 at Peaks from just a few days ago. At Peaks, she won by over a minute-and-a-half, at 7,000 feet elevation. (And she broke the meet record by about 45 seconds too.)
The two should push each other hard, and I wouldn't be surprised to see both sub-16 at Woodbridge.
I’ve thought Lauren Ping could pull it off now for a while- ever since her sister’s win at Roy Griak in 7th grade. I’d love to see Engelhardt and Ping to go head to head though, it’d be a heck of a race
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
