Frerichs with the AR, a top time of all time, and an Olympic and WC silver with no end in sight give me that status in my mind
What you want is them both competing and inspiring each other to perform better. I hope we get Emma Coburn back. They are both great competitors and people. When I see races like the one I saw yesterday I am thankful that I could watch it. But they only happen when people put themselves on the line willing to compete. People always talk about who is the GOAT. For me it's who is holding the record. What have you done lately not how someone dominated 20 years ago. I know gold medals mean something but it really is about the time for me. I will say it has to be an official race time and not something put together last minute with a couple of pacers to try to help one person to a record.
