Josh Kerr -- who ran a great race -- seemed to mutter something to himself at the end of his semi. Looked pretty funny, a bit gangsterish, perhaps psychopathic?

also this a non sequiter but anyone notice how Josh Kerr kinda code-switches his Scottish accent?
In American interviews / content he sounds straight British, but then in UK interviews he's like fookin Sean Connery!

I don’t know but it’s my first time watching this race and Centro looked like he just packed it in. He gave it a little spring and knee lift with 100m to go then by 80m to go he packed it in and called it a day.

Josh Kerr has a great accent. The Edinburgh lilt was voted the most pleasing British accent in the UK recently.
I don't understand how Jake Wightman has no Scottish accent. I have never set foot in Scotland but I speak with a slight accent.

He is not able to kick out of a 3:32-race. There is nothing left.
He said, "That ought to be good enough to satisfy Fake Josh Kerr."

Because that’s how middle class people from Surrey speak?
Although according to wiki he was born in Nottingham.
Where did he grow up?
Seems to be Guildford/Surrey based these days and his dad certainly doesn’t have a Scottish accent either so no real surprise he doesn’t ‘sound’ Scottish.
"Don't f*ck with the Peaky Blinders!"
He said, and I have this on reliable authority:
"Ah'mgonnaebeatyousyabunchibawbags"

It was definitely this.
“And this is your better host Josh Kerr”
They both ran for the same Edinburgh club as teens, so I assume there is some Scottish connection for Jake Wightman. That and the fact he runs for Scotland.

My accent changes based on whom I'm speaking with. I've seen others do the same. I don't find this peculiar at all.

I'd guess that whilst his dad was CEO of Scottish Aths for many years during his schooldays, Jake was not educated at whatever was the local comp. I wonder if his dad (from Dartford) if you listen carefully will do the stadium announcing for Men's 1500 final.
