Why Coburn is DQ?
She fell inside the rail after a jump at one point I think.

She may have tapped out on purpose. Like a field event thrower or jumper who is not happy with their result and steps out of the ring on purpose. Before the fall, I saw her put her head down in resignation. Her body language said I'm done, no mas. So maybe she just stepped inside the rail for the dq? Unlikely of course.
800m race with "Ohio Sprinter" clayton murphy will actually be shown live on the today show
World Champ, Katarina Johnson out of W Hep as her achilles goes in this 200.

Rule 17.3.2
In all races (or any part of races) not run in lanes, an athlete running on a bend, on the outer half of the track as per Rule 17.5.2 of the Technical Rules, or on any curved part of the diversion from the track for the steeplechase water jump, shall not step or run on or inside the kerb or line marking the applicable border (the inside of the track, the outer half of the track, or any curved part of the diversion from the track for the steeplechase water jump).

Replay from inside the track showed her appearing to fall flat on her stomach from landing in water jump. Possible calf injury, she was holding her leg.

The first women's steeple world champion is Ugandan - Dorcus Inzikuru in Helsinki 2005.
I can't wait for the 800. I predict a 1:41 for Amos.
Kiyeng looks disappointed. I see Paul Tergat has lost weight.
This post was removed.
Can the triumvirate of Knighton, Lyles and Bednarek sweep? I almost feel like Lyles could be the weak link. DeGrasse will have lots to say as always.

She looked quite disappointed directly after the race, it's quite understandable; she had already silver in Rio and was the favorite.
After breathing and sweating all over each other for 9+ minutes... the top 3 are wearing masks on the podium, while 10 feet apart. Kinda ridiculous.
Wow so unexpected. If you told me before today Coburn would've run 9:40+ with a fall and DQ I wouldn't have believed you. Winfred Yavi with a 9:19 also way off what I thought she would run, top 5 seemed like a lock for me. Chepkoech also surprised me, I know she has been having an off season but she was trending in the right direction after her 9:03 in Doha, consistently improving her SB. All credit to Frerichs, I have never seen her really attack a field of this caliber let alone a US championship. She went for it like never before and it paid off big time.

She did the exact same thing in 2017.
