No. They are fatter for starters.
Hodgkinson ran an amazing race with a ridiculous time, especially for a 19 year-old. The way she slipped through the gap with 100 to go was slick AF. But for all that, Mu is a generational talent. Running gun to tape in her first ever global final is astonishing. Everyone in the US should be proud her, and Rogers for that crazy last 100m (much as it's painful for Brits to see Reekie lose out on the line)

NBC provided streaming. If you have a smart tv you can just stream it via your tv. As far as I am aware, NBC does not show any live track events via regular broad cast stations.
No one has been able to explain to me why beach volleyball gets its own channel and every damn match is broadcasted for weeks. And this has been going on for years. What the flipping hell.

Isn't it a bit sad that in a population 7 times bigger you can't even produce a native finalist, but GB can produce 3 (and could of had a 4th in Laura Muir)?
That's stupid. What does a native US finalist look like? MU was born in the USA. Rodgers was born in the USA.
MU : 1st
Rodgers : 3rd.
We not only produced native finalists. Both of them got medals.

I’m on old man and literally have no idea what sling is, but will Google, as I don’t want a repeat of last night again. I’ve been looking forward to 1500 for 6 months.
I have Apple TV, can I get through that?
Sling is a streaming service that delivers major tv channels, including NBCSN (in most markets) in lieu of a cable subscription. If you have cable tv then in all probability you already get NBC and NBCSN and would not need sling.
Sling is available through the more recent Apple TV hardware, but older versions don’t support it. In that case, a roku device would be a cheaper option ($30 or so)
Once you have access to an NBCSN subscription, you can log on to the NBC sports app and get access to all the streams. Full replays are available for all sports, archived by event date. When you log on to NBC sports app it will prompt you for your NBC subscription provider- either sling or your cable company - and then you’re good to go
As Athing was setting winning gold and setting an Olympic record, NBC was interviewing Simone Biles for at least 15 minutes. I just shake my head.

No, you don’t. You just have the highest gun crime in the world. The most obese nation in the world and the only western country to experience a coup attempt in recent history. Corn hole country.
And yet we still can't keep you dickwads out of our country. Nigel Farage was here months ago begging for hand outs. Bojo daily begging us to open our borders and for hand outs so that sh!ts like you can enter our corn hole country.
Jim Thorpe?

Some of the track sessions (but not all) have been available live. They’ve been on USA channel for me, on sling.
NBC seems to have determined that certain sports appeal to mainstream viewers more than others, and get the coverage treatment. This includes beach volleyball, gymnastics, soccer, golf tennis, etc. Track sessions with major US stars participating will sometimes be included in the live line up.

Ya WTF this isn't even dog-whistling. This is just straight up old fashioned racism. Unbelievable.
While I completely disagree with the idea that a country shouldn't take pride in a 1st generation immigrant competing on their olympic team I guess, maybe, I can squint really hard and understand the viewpoint. But 2nd generation?!
In a country which literally destroyed its own native original population and continues to do so?
Native American Indians actually produce a far higher proportion of talented athletes and runners than their population size would indicate. I have no idea why the US doesn't treasure one of the few authentic cultures and native races it still has.

That's odd - Coevett never lies and is never wrong.
In all actuality, he is clearly lashing out from his devastation about how his gold and bronze picks of Dustin and Giles couldn't even make the final. I mean, he's still hung up on Burgin even! GB is choking.

I don't disagree with you but I also have no idea how your comment is even remotely relevant to my post or the topic at hand...

To be clear, it wasn't the OP saying "What the f@#k" about Keely Hodgkinson's performance. It was Keely herself who kept saying that live on air right after her race.
And she wasn't saying it about her 2nd place finish. She started saying it after she saw that her time was 1:55.88, which was a new British national record and way faster than her previous PB of 1:57.51.
Thank you for explaining why she reacted that way. I only saw her mouthing "What the" before the camera moved off. I watched the replay on NBColympics webstie. I was not sure if she was amazed by someones race or if she was the woman who looked like she lost 3rd place at the line.

Congratulations on your non-native US 800m gold.
Apparently you don't know what native means. Thanks for playing.

AND, the 800m isn't Keely's best distance! ( or it won't be when we look back 10 years from now ).

You mean the original Europeans that came here and decimated the Natives? That’s true. Not like all of the Native American tribes welcomed the Europeans with open arms.
Now, they get their own designated land, they can operate casinos, and get huge tax breaks. That seems pretty treasured to me.
