Krystsina Tsimanouskaya changed her plans at the last minute to fly to Austria instead of Poland. A few months ago a plane carrying a journalist from Belarus was forced to land in Minsk (hijacked by Lukashenko's cronies), so she's right to be cautious.

The news I heard yesterday was that she was heading to Austria but that her ultimate goal was to go to Poland because she has been offered a humanitarian visa by Poland. This may mean she is transiting in Austria before going on to Poland. Obviously she needs to be discreet about the actual travel arrangements to avoid potential problems from Belarus. We wish her luck and the best of success in her endeavors and hopefully what will become her new country of adoption, Poland. Poland has a very well established athletics scene, especially in the sprints and field events, so she will do well there.
