Anyone know what she's doing next. I know coaching is extremely demanding but she looks too young to just be sitting around all day.

When you have a husband that also has a good job you can just stop working. She had good jobs for a long time and I’m sure they’re doing fine.
didn't the coach before her leave abruptly too?
Florida State is a mess. Hard to believe, but they are having serious financial issues. It goes back to a previous AD. His decisions, plus the results alienated the fan base. Football attendance took a nose dive. New AD comes over from campus. Athletic staff is retiring or leaving in numbers.
Maybe she wants a better job (aka one not in Florida).
Maybe Rhonda will take over.
Extremely demanding? You obviously don't know what a demanding job is.

She definitely doesn't look young with all those crows feet around her eyes.
Yes being a college XC and track coach is extremely demanding from a time and travel perspective and, if you actually want to be good at it, from an intellectual perspective as well.
She had been one for a long time and it can get really old despite if you love doing it.
You also need to read the article - anytime it says “family” is the reason that means someone is likely not doing well. In this case -guess is one or both parents. Most on this site have no idea about the pressures of caring for a sick parent - if you are a decent human being you will.
I’m a first timer so excuse me if I’m not responding correctly- but here goes-
1- single for many years
2-previous coach left abruptly- relevance? - nope- none
3-FSU is a mess- I think after a pandemic, many schools are experiencing financial challenges they never expected- FSU included
4-no- I do not want a better job- I had a fabulous job- I came back to a boss that took a chance on me over 20 years ago- gave me Carte Blanche then and now and unlike many bosses never took credit but gave the credit
5- Rhonda is not taking over
6- Crows Feet? Really? You should see me in the morning! That pic is about as good as it gets unless you’ve had a few cocktails. 😃
7-Nope no sick parent- my mother has been gone for over 20 years.
I think that about answers everything. If I missed anything or if you have any further questions- please feel free to email me at
Or text me at 850-228-1721.
You can call- but I probably won’t pick up so just leave a message.
Have a great weekend.

Hey, How you doin? (Best Joey voice) 😉
Whatever happened to Karen (Harvey) Sullivan?
She got really religious then left the sport.
Good for you, Coach. Well done! Good luck and thanks for your work with students, coaches, admin, and the university community.
I guess the only thing you didn’t answer is why you quit?

Maybe it is none of your business.
If this is really her, then kudos for chiming in!
PS, you look great regarding #6. That comment probably came from some 21 year who has not kissed a woman yet.
Well if Fsu is a public school the public might have some right
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
