Salam Aleykum: Katir Moved to Spain when he was a baby and he spent all his life there and learned about athletics in Spain and trained in Spain and has been entirely produced in Spain so to refer to him as the north African is disingenuous and is outside the mark. The fact that he has north African genes is true but there are many Irish American runners (descent) with Irish genes who seem to do well and we don’t talk about the “potato diet.”
We should give this poet and free thinker, Katir, the benefit of the doubt because there’s nothing to indicate beyond his outstanding improvement that he is resorting to anything below board.
Katir once said - “ On my mother’s head, I would never cheat or resort to illegal methods to improve my performance » please note that when a Muslim talks about his mother, he has (in all likelihood), to be telling the truth because to mention his mother in a sentence like this and cheat would be tantamount to self annihilation and suicide for a Muslim.
If you do a little bit of research into Muslim culture you will understand this and you will come to appreciate this Spanish athlete (Katir) all the more so.
It would also be good for people to stop referring to him as a “Spanish Moroccan“ athlete because he has been produced in Spain, trained in Spain, and his whole life has been lived in Spain. This is no ersatz copy.
