Personal attacks, insults ... Bravo.
LRC note: This thread was deletd by a volunteer mod in 2023 but now given the fact that Katir has been suspended we have re-instated it.
Personal attacks, insults ... Bravo.
Looked to me like a novice 5,000 runner who had no idea how to handle a high-level 5,000. Either you believe the Coevett theory and he laid off the doping or he is just a speedy, inexperienced 5000 runner who was too far from the front and couldn’t handle the changes of pace in the heat.

Did Oliver play safe too? How about Giles? Rowden? Butchart? Filip Ingebrigtsen?
All playing safe and throttling back before these Games?
Obviously yes, according to you.
As for El Keniano, you must have missed the thread he started congratulating a Ugandan victory.
Have you noticed how many great names suddenly dropped in these Olympic Games.
Look at the Ethiopians: No runner in the 5000m
In the 1500m: Kenyan champion didn't qualify for the final.
Chaptegei and Kiplimo dropped in the 10.000m final.
etc etc.
What are you talking about? I mean this is nonsense whatever theory it is.
Ethiopians: it was widely discussed on here that they were sending Wale and a B team. Wale ran the steeple and he was dead-tired. Their other two guys were young and not ready.
Kenyan champion: Simotwo’s tactics were questionable even in those trials. He positions himself far back and running in the more tactical heat it took him out. But he ran in a head that took 5 not 7 and trusted his kick too much.
Ugandans: lolwut? Cheptegei silver-gold is a great Olympics, Kiplimo has been overrated here as far as below 10,000. He pushed the pace early and paid for it.
The Kenyan champion loosing to a young 20 years American in the 1500m?
And the other Ethiopian champion of 1500m who was in the same heat?
WALE didn't qualified because your father El Bakkali took him down in the 3000m steeplechase.
and wait...
None is sure if we shall get a replica of "Cheruiyot Kenyan trials" in the Olympic final

Yeah he was Kenyan champion because of Tim falling apart. Second and third place had more impressive races taking runs at the front in the last lap going for the win. Simotwo timed a very late kick perfectly. He’s challenged tactically in real races and it showed. Hocker is a great runner who cares his age/nationality.
Ethiopia stinks at the 1500, so a wavelight 3:32 guy should not be surprising to miss a final. They haven’t had a medal contender since Mekonnen and Gebremehdin.

Katir is a filthy dopernas obvious as they come. How do you improve 6 seconds in 6 months and then go backwards? He was fresh and he had nothing in his legs. No EPO that is.
2 months ago beating Jakob in 3:28 and only a step behind best ever Tim. Today am also ran. Next season back to running 3:36. This is how El G would have been without the Moroccan sauce.

Then keep an eyes on him at risk he "dope" and steel a gold medal from the virtue mousquetaire Kerr.

LOOL thats literally my youtube comment. 😂
1. Always take yt comments with a grain of salt. Theyre as reliable as any comment on LetsRun.
2. I could have done a better job translating that.
Timestamp for the vid is 1:50, the spanish commentator says:
"By the way, Enrique [couldnt understand the last name] has just texted me informing me that Mohamed Katir has been having issues with his spikes and is even going to wear spikes that arent from his sponsor. He has permission from his sponsor to wear a different brand because he has some problem and hasnt managed to solve it"
So i may have spread some fake news that first time around lol. Basically all we know is that Katir tried out wearing different spikes for this race today. It's unclear whether he has some injury in his foot or for how long he has had whatever problem hes been dealing with.

That's a principle I never do.
