People mention doping because that's the reality of the sport. And mentioning WRs set by some of the most blatant high intensity dopers in sports does not help allay suspicions.

The heat took out most of the field. Sara Hall will have a good 'Thon in the fall with the speed work. DNF for Gwen.
No one calls a marathon a 'Thon but you.
Most of the field trained in 55-65 degree weather. Sisson trains daily in 100+.. When I saw the weather it was easy to pick the winner. You can get very acclimated to heat running herw in PHX.
How Dare You.
The argument that “white people have been in the Americas so long that now they are as native as the Native people they murdered and stole from” is the most disgusting thing I have read on letsrun for a long time, and that is saying something.
How Dare You.
Every good performance is doping I got it. I will look back to the middle of the pack for less talented dopers or the more talented clean athletes. Frankly it must be exhausting.

Most badass race I've ever seen. Led 20+ laps in 85 degree heat and DROPPED everyone. Insane.
Very reminiscent of JBS in 1984 Olympic Marathon. I'm not sure I can offer higher praise.

Ah yes. I was waiting for this. Now everyone will be going to Phoenix to "train" instead of Boulder or east Africa. The secret is out. Every exceptional performance now boils down to some exotic climate. ......... Like Phoenix and St. Louis.
It would probably take a few generations to gain an advantage.
Evidence?
The NBC announcers have got to go. Congratulating Alicia Monson on finishing second? During the race stating that she did not have the Olympic standard? Earlier in the week referring to “Helen Maclean” as Heather earned a 1,500 spot? And then you flip over to gymnastics and Nastia Liukin, Tim Dagget and Terry Gannon do the athletes justice. Got to get much better before Tokyo.

you didnt change the fact that the sioux are not native to the dakotas. nor are horses native to the continent. i dare just fine. bogus native. many of the "native" people moved around. therefore they arent native. that goes for a ton of the so called native cultures. the sioux clearly displaced . and of course the comanches did as well. if they can count as native after displacing its really a no brainer. suck it.
The AIU be adding some names to their list for targeted testing during these trials that's for sure.
As opposed to there is no such thing as doping, even if an athlete surpasses the records of known dopers and the history of doping in the sport be damned? Got it. That level of denial must be exhausting. :)

You realize, of course, some people handle the heat better than the other?
You realize, of course, that this run would be setting off alarm bells if it was 60 degrees and cloudy, right?
I mean, she ran the entire race by herself. 31 low, close to her PR. Didn't even look tired.
Test her NOW!
Do you really think they didn’t test her after that?
Was this the first 10K run on pure hate?

This has been, by far, NBC’s best television production for track and field ever. By a wide margin.
US Gymnastics sends single digits to Tokyo. There are hundreds of athletes at the track and field trials. Not hard to see how these two things are different.

I guarantee you there will be carnage in Tokyo with the East Africans overconfident on fitness relative to the heat and humidity. Emily will pick up the pieces and medal.
You heard here first: Emily Sisson will medal in Tokyo. That master class she showed today tells me she is highly adapted to high performance in hot conditions.
I hope your correct. But the pace will be much faster the first 17 laps. Then it will get faster. Can a 30:47 PR woman keep up with 29:0x women.
Plus Japanese Niiya recently ran 30:20 by herself and she is not afraid to lead and mix it up with the Africans. She will not let the pace be slow because she has no closing speed. And she will be acclimated to the Tokyo weather.

This has to be the performance of the trials right?
Yes, by far (at least on the track). That was so awesome.
Crouser did break a legendary WR...
Deanna Price just hit 80.31 HT NR, 2nd performer all-time over 80.
Nothing was stolen, Native tribes conquered one another for ages they were not a peaceful people either... this land has been changing hands for ages until our ancestors finally settled it.

Absolutely! This team is superb. They all do much better when they are given the time to cover these events completely. Ato is outstanding, the best sprints presenter in the world.
