Worried Kate grace won’t make it in the 8. Hope she proves me wrong just feel like the 15 would have been easier to make

800 is definitely Kate's best race. She can consistently run around 2:00-flat. There's just a lot more competition in the 800 in the US right now.

There are probably 7-8 women vying for the three spots. Ajee Wilson, Mu, Rogers, Price, Southerland, Grace, Green look the most likely.

What the *** did you just ****ing say about me, you little *****? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class at ASU, and I've been involved in numerous secret raids on WADA, and I have over 300 confirmed false positive B Samples. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I'm the top 5k runner in the entire US. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the **** out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my ****ing words. You think you can get away with saying that **** to me over the Internet? Think again, hobbyjogger. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across Letsrun and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, you 19-minute 5k wannabe. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your career. You're ****ing going home devastated, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can outkick you in over seven hundred ways, and that's just with my bare feet. Not only am I extensively trained in non-clown shoes, but I have access to the entire arsenal of Nike and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little ****. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little "clever" comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your ****ing tongue. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will **** a pork burrito all over you and you will drown in it. You're ****ing finished, kiddo.
800 looks very interesting.
They'll probably run peak efforts from the semis on.

Wow that was a 4:38 last 1600m for Coburn over barriers. Her last 4 laps was faster than the average WR pace, 4:39/1600m. Crazy fast close when they picked it up
Agree. Are you considering that each lap is, I think, 390 meters?
yea i'm a dumbasss, was counting last 4 laps not last 1600 meters. Still probably the fastest last SC mile by an American. also Liam BP said her last 1K was a 2:55:
https://twitter.com/liam_bp/status/1408274441398894595So maybe fastest last 1K as well.

They better. Or they'll be going home.
Not a big Kara fan but she is doing a good job considering it pretty new gig for her.
She is one of Emma's friends and still sounded positive for the other athletes.
Kara is better than some other announcers and can improve. But NBC cutting away from the distance racing, and leaving a little box to watch the race is concerning. It would be nice to note the pace for each lap and how fast they are picking up the pace. They also need to talk more about the competitors and not just about the one or two who are the top names. You watch the British or Canadian coverage of world championships or olympic games and the announcers, the interviewing are far superior.
I hope Kate Grace makes it. Been watching her race since high school.

Yeah and Frerichs is a dead ringer for John Malkovich.
I’m sure this has been pointed out already.

Canadian coverage will show more (I.e. an international feed) but the play-by-play person still zones in on one or two prerace favourites or Canadians. And the “expert” (ex decathlete Michael Smith) is atrocious.
When we import Brits for commentary or analysis (Ovett, Morehead) it is night and day.
Shouts to Geoff Gowan, the colour guy in the 80’s to mid 90’s.
Them goes home DEVASTATED!! Again.
Someone make a day 8 discussion?

Yes, they do need to be more inclusive of the other competitors. Women’s steeple, for example, they only showed and talked about Coburn, Frerichs and Murphy. Not a peep about Falland who, objectively, would have been the favorite for the 3rd oly team spot.
Admittedly they can only feature so many but at the very least have the camera pan through the entire starting field so we know who’s in and in what lane they’re positioned.
Ps, why all the attention on Grayson Murphy?
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
