Why this is stupid:
1.) Transmission of the virus is significantly lower outdoors
2.) Vaccines are highly effective at preventing the spread of the virus
3.) By now, the vaccine is available to any vulnerable member of society, offering significant protection.
4.) By now, the vaccine is available to ANY member of society, vulnerable or non vulnerable, offering significant protection.
5.) Since vaccines are very effective, the risk of a non vaccinated spectator spreading the virus to a vaccinated spectator (given that the event is outside and vaccines are very effective) is very, very low.
These 5 facts should apply to nearly every large event these days. Policies like this are theater. If people don’t want the vaccine it is their own risk. I don’t get why vaccinated people are shaming non vaccinated people and getting so angry as they are nearly fully protected against the virus.
This thread was not started by an angry vaccinated person, it was started by a snowflake unvaccinated person complaining about the event organizer's decision to allow only limited seating for their kind. You dummies seem to think "choice" only applies to you. If you can choose not to be vaccinated, they can choose to seat you wherever the f#*k the want to seat you, including to not seat you at all, which would be my preference. Not because I'm afraid of being infected, but rather to teach you how true democracy and capitalism works, something you don't seem to have a grasp on.
Also, I heard that they have not opened up the distanced seating yet to the general public because they have a lot of people who kept their tickets that are trying to get moved to the unvaccinated area. The seats they bought last year are now in vaccinated areas and they have to move. If this is true, the inventory for the physically distanced area will be even less once they get everyone that already has tickets sorted out. Good luck virus boy.
