I took Moderna (my wife works there so not much choice) back in Jan. I had no issues at all minus a sore arm. Didn't impact running even a little although I did make sure it was scheduled with no workout the next day. My wife was basically on her back the next day and a little under the weather days 2 and 3 after the second dose. She was OK but a bit feverish after the first dose. Anecdotally I have observed less side effects among the Pfizer folks.

Much obliged.
I’ve only had dose one of Pfizer, but no adverse effects. Just a sore arm. The sore arm was way more sore than after a normal needle.
Nobody I run with had any major problems after the shot. To be safe I’d plan two easy days after it, but wouldn’t worry otherwise.
2 doses of Pfizer here. No effects other than the first shot left my arm sore for days and the 2nd shot it was REALLY sore for days. No impact to running or other activities unless you need to do physical work with that arm.
Thanks for chiming in you guys, much appreciated. Not super ideal to have a shot the day before a race but... both fell on my lap unexpectedly and in rapid succession, if I'd declined either, dunno when the next opportunity would have been.
In any case, feeling fine so far. Slight muscle soreness and some light headedness, nothing dramatic (famous last words!).

Most people I know had either Moderna or Pfizer. Moderna seems to have a slightly bigger hit than Pfizer, but so much is individual. I know a few people that were hit hard by Pfizer. One thing I did note is that generally older people reacted much less than younger.
I've joked elsewhere that I've had the experiences of a) getting the Moderna vax; b) running a marathon; and c) being hit by a truck. The days after getting my second dose of Moderna felt much like recovery from a half-marathon, and nothing at all like the days after being hit by a truck.
I did note that my running was a bit off for 2-3 days after the second shot. So I would not get it right before an important race or workout if you have a choice. It may not affect you at all. Or it may.
Now that I think of it, I also got my second shot of Moderna the day after I raced a half-marathon, so maybe that explained why it felt like I had just run a half-marathon.......

Inescapable logic is inescapable! 😃
Thx for the input!

Yup. Arm a bit sore the next day after shot #2. That's it. Moderna.
