That’s crazy. I’m impressed that he ran three straight 800s that fast.

Where are results??

anyone know why he ran it 3 times. Basically a 3x800 workout in 1:50s w 10 mins rest
I think exactly for that purpose. Just a workout, but with a nice group of free pacers.
I think it's pretty impressive. Some might think it's lame, but I found it fun.

Hero or the goat situation. Had be pulled it off it would have been epic, now it's just looks silly.
I dunno, I think it's still a pretty impressive workout. Just not as exciting as it could have been. He's obviously in great shape.
Impressive, maybe, but why? It's pointless 2 weeks before the trials. had he cut the last one down it might have shown unbelievable fitness, not it shows that, OK, he's fit, but so what. We already knew that from his last 1500 and 800. Risking injury for what?

Why is this risking injury? It's just a workout. He did a similar workout a few years ago. Why does it matter if he does it in a race or by himself at practice? At least this way he gets some nice free pacers.

I feel like he did a very similar 3*800 workout back with NOP before he won a global medal. His splits were more even though.
So what's Sinclaire Johnson's deal?
Runs a 1:59 800, and then runs 2:00.1, the two fastest 800s of her career so far...
But then has a 4:12, 4:06 1500m to show for? You'd think that with extra BTC strength training she would get faster in the 1500 not at the 800. Yet?
Wow- she just said in the interview she might do the 800 at trials? Said she will decide soon.

You think this is inherently more risky than what? Not racing or training? This attitude suggests we shouldn't push ourselves beyond any level of comfort because of injury risk.. what a terrible take. If you can articulate a reason why it's a poor workout or some other reason he shouldn't have done it, at least that's respectable opinion instead of some random statement regarding injury, as if you have any idea of the amount of volume and intensity that he's doing and can actually assess this "risk" you claim to know.

She probably should. 1500 seems out of reach for her. Also the 800 can often be quite variable

Yes he did. I think he did them all in 1:50 though. He may have had more rest for that workout.
Either way, he's fit right now.
Looks like Spencer isn’t getting another contract. 3:45 wtf
lol Salazar fanboys still impressed with workouts.
Centro is not fit. He can't lay down a fast 800, hence this gimmicky three-part jogfest.
He won't make the team at 1500.
Impressive run from Oregon’s Jack Yearian. He punched his ticket to the Olympic trials with his 3:37 1500m.
3:45:xx for Athlete Special 😕
he was there w 400 to go and got passed by literally every person. Closing in 55 is no joke tho for the top two guys
