Based on Hessler's recent performance, could he take down Granville's HS Record in the 800 - 1:46.45?
I know its unlikely to happen at the Michigan State Meet even though he is entered in the 800.

Kessler, not Hessler
I'll give him a 1% shot of breaking that record this year, mostly because we don't know his 800 ability and that record isn't soft. It's unlikely that he'll even make an honest attempt at it so the true % is probably zero.
Highly doubtful. All of his training and focus is on the 1500m.
i don't think hes faster than 1:48.high at this stage. he ran an open 400m at like 50 low or 49 high recently, right?
A 3:34 1500m specialist should likely run 1:46-1:47 for 800m. So yes it seems possible he could do it, but unlikely that he gets a good crack at it.
I used this calc
https://atorres2503.wixsite.com/racepredictor
I put in 50.09 and the 3:34.36 and it came out to a 1:47.6
I think Kessler ran his 400 without much comp so I think he could run 49.5 or better which would still put him at 1:47.05 with this calc
I think he could get it, but I don't know if he'll go for it
