He may not have peaked, he could just be a 19.5 high guy, he did run a windy run worth 19.8 in 2019, so 19.58 or something would not be a crazy improvement. He may just be that good.
Wind at 4.1 immediately after. They got lucky (??)
I'm pretty sure lsu knows how to program training to let athletes peak for NCAA'S

Great 200m from Laird, Fanbulleh, Boling, and Lang.
Gotta imagine the 4 is the end game for boling.
And fanbulleh is a hugely promising talent
Lang and Fanbulleh are both promising talents. Lang has progressed a lot this year.
Great race. Terrible camera angles.
Good but not quite Boling-level talent
Why, they are running the similar times in the 200m at the same age
Looks like we are getting a DQ in the 5000. Alabama runner just shouldered an Arkansas runner for no reason right in front of the official. Yellow flag went up immediately. Trying to figure out who it was.
DQ in the 5K !!!?!?
Alabama runner towards the front just cut over a full lane to shoulder check an Arkansas runner. Looked to be retaliation after he was cut off by Arkansas. Yellow flag was waved by official
Well, the poster did say talents, not 200m talents. Just before this race Boling destroyed both Lang and Fanbulleh in the 100. Windy 9.97.
Who do you think would crush a better 400 and long jump too?
Eluid Kipsang just dropped out
Guilty Alabama runner in lead pack still
Arkansas runners now shoving the solo Alabama runner in the lead pack. This is making a 5k interesting for once
Luke Meade from Arkansas just shoved Alabama runner in the pack. ESPN did slow mo recap.
Vincent Kiprop was the shoulder checker. I can't see any way he doesn't get DQ'ed for that. It is up to the referee as a running empire can only report a "potential violation."
True, but I was saying 200m because that is their best race, the one they have elite potential in. Although Boling may have elite 400m potential.

Vincent Kiprop was staring daggers at Luke Meade from Arkansas after the race.
Early on Luke Meade cut off Vincent Kiprop, seeming to block him as his Arkansas teammates tried to break away from Kiprop.
Kiprop swings wide then cuts in hard to shoulder check Luke Meade
Later with Vincent Kiprop surrounded in the lead pack by Arkansas, Luke Meade was shoving him
Which shoes was Katie Izzo wearing in the 5000? Looked like trainers.

Sounds like Arkansas were willing to play dirty for those team points.

Frum tha Souf.th. Muss be horrible, and worse, science deniers. Wait, least they aren't racist!
Kiprop officially disqualified
“The guy who just ran a sub 10 (and 10.11 basic) as a sophomore needs to move up to the 400” is the exact same “reasoning” we saw a decade ago with “the guy who just ran the third fastest 400m in history needs to move to the 800.”
