Oh yeah, these were all upper classes by the way. Lol.

You would probably do better in school if you spent less time on LRC

Only for lazy and unmotivated individuals. Your posts are telling us a whole lot more about you than those you insult.
Absolutely! you stole the words out of my mind.

Man up boy.
Online school is easy. You don't even have to go anywhere. Or really get dressed. It's the slackers dream!

you are right,it's hard to do well, but it's not that hard to PASS. Basically just keeping up with the the he, doing all the reading, and watching all the lectures along with studying for a night or two before tests will lead to passing. I don't know what you want to do in life op, but expect a dull monotonous low paying job if you become a college dropout. I'd consider your grades a warning to drop the woe is me act and bust your butt from now on to get your degree. I've never failed a course, but I came close a time or two and to prevent that I did nothing but run and study the last few weeks of the semester to eek out a C...

Online courses are exponentially easier. I was able to pass those same courses and tougher ones in an online format in past years. Apparently you just have no work ethic and zero discipline.
Why’d you do both semesters?
I struggled my first semester, realized the school/online program was NOT a good fit for me and got my booty out of there. I took this semester off cause I realized I wasn’t learning anything and hurting my gpa, and realized I’d be getting a lot more out of life by getting a job, spending time with loved ones, and training, while I wait out the remainder of the pandemic.
You’d think by bombing your first semester you’d realize another few thousand dollars of debt isn’t worth risking bombing another one.
In your defense, these 30-60 year old guys do not understand how awful online classes are. You can’t see the board half of the time, sometimes the audio is unintelligible, and you can’t ask questions during class. Half the professors you ask during office hours will give you the whole “why weren’t you listening in class” BS speech.
You aren’t alone in your bad grades, lots of people got pretty bad grades this year, and I’m sure you’ll be able to figure something out. Get a meeting with a counselor and see if you can work something out.

To be fair, calculus and physics are often high school level courses. If you failed those (even online), you definitely should not go into a STEM field.
I failed entire first year and got tossed out. Had to work dead end jobs and resit which wised me up. It's not the end of the world, just take it in your stride and learn from it. That never stopped me from having a very successful career, a seemingly impossible one from the starting point in fact (on dole in Belfast in the Troubles) and ended up having career in investment banks, headhunted by GS, turning them down and finished working as proprietary trader at UBS. It's down to you, overcoming is more important than anything and shows character.
I'll also give you more advice. This stuff is of the world, what matters is God and realizing our need for, and the truth that is in Jesus Christ. Whenever you are ready, know that He is there and it's all that matters. I've ended up homeless, penniless walking apart from God and following my own ways. Be grateful for all you have, do the best you can and live for God first, the rest will fall into place.
Congrats, you’re a failure. Now what was the reason for making this thread?
Your attitude makes me worried that you have more failure in your future. College is a competition for good jobs, and companies are going to choose to hire the kids that won the competition (and someone is always going to win. It's not like everyone else in your classes failed even though they would all have the same excuses available).
You can't blame anything else. Trust me, if you keep doing that you'll let yourself fail again because you can blame something else.
Your estimate of your worst case scenario is also optimistic. You act like you can still graduate in 5 years with a low GPA and get a job. Even engineering jobs are difficult to get if that's your situation. Also, the school won't let you keep enrolling if you keep failing. Also, you can only get financial aid and certain subsidized loans for so long before you will need to take out private loans and the student loan debt really starts piling up.
However, this has happened to a lot of kids before and a lot of them have learned how to succeed in school and gone on to have successful lives. Keep in mind that next semester, nothing you did the past semester matters. You can do well next semester and none of your professors will hold you previous failure against you.
I am an expert in this situation. At first I blamed circumstances outside of my control and then I failed more. Eventually I dedicated myself to school and did really well. It was difficult to find a good engineering job because of my low GPA, and I had more difficulty getting an internship because I wasn't competitive with the top-of-the-class kids. Now my career and life are great, but it sure would have been nice to have been able to get a higher paying job out of school and not have accumulated quite so much student loan debt because undergrad took more semesters than it should have.
Hey man, I get it. I graduated with highest honors in a STEM major in undergrad and am currently struggling with the online format while in grad school. It really can be harder to be at home and not have the structure of showing up to class, being able to interact with peers and professors in person, and generally having to be more self-sufficient. But, and this is a big but, nobody cares.
Ok, so you failed all your classes. You are now at a crossroads of continuing to wallow in self-pity (which is immature and, frankly, gross) or fixing your habits and making something of yourself. You craft the narrative of your life. Most good stories start with someone at the bottom climbing their way out through grit and good decisions. It really is time to man up and confront the challenges of the world forthrightly.
Mr. Blutarsky. Zero point zero.
"Pressure. Time-management=Impossibility."
That is a very telling little equation. When you can solve that one, then you can go on to actually do something productive.
I failed my first year of college.
Then somehow talked my way into a summer class to get my GPA up enough to return. So I managed exactly two assignments, since this pre-dated email and the WWW. We used the US Postal Service, as I was 1000 miles away from school.
Got back in, somehow, pulled it together, and graduated.

All these people with life experience telling a college kid to accept being screwed.
No, you won't learn anything, but you can get a C or a D at least! lmao
Demand a refund OP! They refused to instruct you effectively.
This happens all the time and people bounce back when they figure out why they failed. It wasn't just the difficulty of the classes nor the pandemic situation, you're entire life changed. You're probably dealing with a mental health situation on top of everything else. Good of you to reach out and say something. Forget all these losers who post about you being a failure. Take the time to figure out how you dropped the ball and you can change your life again.
Seriously, this is a good piece of advice the next time you do an online course. It is way too easy to waste time doing things online that aren't school related. We all justify giving ourselves "breaks" by checking these boards, social media, etc, but, you need to resist the urge to do so while working on courses. Imagine you are in a lecture hall (without your phone or computer) and give the course your undivided attention for the length of a normal lecture at least. Do this for every class you are taking. The irony of giving you this advice here is not lost on me, however, if you find yourself here more than once a day than you are wasting a significant amount of time without anything to show from it except for hot takes on almost everything other than running.

Your first mistake was signing up for advanced classes your freshman year. Most college level physics classes assume you’ve already had a year of calculus. College calculus is a lot harder than high school AP calculus. It’s more accelerated. My advice is for you to take a step back and take easier classes that you can master. Who cares if it takes you five years to graduate. That’s normal.
Hmm...I am a teacher and had to figure out how to teach online classes. I did it at home and had to manage my time. Somehow, by deciding that I cared about the quality of my work, I created meaningful online coursework.
I would say I sympathize with you, but, to be honest, the idea that your "poor time management skills" are somehow not your own responsibility is infantilizing to you. Online school perhaps revealed that you are too dependent on everyone else structuring your time and giving you checklists to complete. Perhaps this is a good opportunity to grow into a fully functioning, self-sufficient human.
