We also are not worried about getting Covid because we haven't been afraid of getting viruses our entire lives. Unless you are overweight, unhealthy and / or old then Covid is not going to be any worse than the common cold. We are not worried about passing the virus to other people because of two reasons. 1. Other people who are worried about getting the virus can get the vaccine. 2. There is little evidence that people without symptoms heavily spread the virus.

The vaccines completed full phase III trials. Things were greatly accelerated because of good funding, fast recruitment, and high disease prevalence. Some trial phases were overlapped to speed things up too as well as manufacturing build out.
Plenty of healthy people struggle with COVID for weeks (and sometimes months). Even a basic symptomatic infection has a much worse risk profile than the vaccine. Anti-vaxxers like to skip over this.
Anyone who comes into a thread fearmongering about well tested vaccines with excellent safety profiles AND subtly hawks a trendy supplement is likely an anti-vaxxer.
There are states with 50% vaccination that are seeing cases fall. There are states with ~40% vaccination seeing cases rise. I know which side I want to be on!

OK so you're not anti-vaccine but are skeptical of a vaccine developed this quickly, and coupled with your good health, why would you take a vaccine if you question it's safety or efficacy? I get it.
For me I got the first shot and it's because (1) there are reports of even young and healthy people having long term side effects/damage from the virus. I don't want that, even though I expect I would not die from Covid, and (2) the longer this things stays around and is common, the more likely we are too see variants. I'd rather just pound this thing into the ground as much as we can. We may never get rid of it completely but let's get it to the point where it needs life support.
So - I know that may not change your mind but it's why I'll get the second shot and I hope you reconsider.

The two risks you list from COVID far, far outweigh any observed adverse effects from the vaccine, even in healthy young people.
There's a lot of wilful ignorance with the vaccines because people just. don't. want. to. believe. the vaccines are the way out. That would mean admitting that COVID was bad all long. 550k dead Americans are not enough to convince the contrarians here.

If you read the article you would see the rates. Post immunization (depending on time frame and number of vaccinations) individuals had a positivity rate of 0.01% - 0.08%. Of those that tested positive, roughly 3% died. Manitoba's overall population has a ~3.5% positivity rate with around a 2.5% fatality rate. It should be noted that the post-immunization COVID fatalities, all were associated with people who received one dose instead of two. Half of those deaths occurred <2 weeks after getting the vaccine.
Given that Winnipeg TPR is about as high as it's been all pandemic right now, these numbers tell me that a) people getting the vaccine seem to have a ~10x lower positivity rate than the general population and b) the outcome for people having received one vaccine who become infected seems similar to those who are unvaccinated while the outcome for those with two vaccines seems much better. The obvious confounder here is "were these single-dose vaccinated people infected prior to their immunizations?".
How you can read those numbers and surmise vaccines are killing people is confusing to me.

The CDC cannot provide basic information about the duration of any alleged protection from any of the 3 "approved" shots. You'll may end up attempting to pound the virus into the ground with multiple boosters while providing the pharmaceutical industry with a gravy train of pure profit. The more shots, the better for them - all under the umbrella of indemnity. Anything goes wrong, it's entirely your problem and you cannot sue them.

I respect your opinion but you have not changed my mind. I know several people who have gotten the virus and even have a friend who got the virus on purpose in the fall (drank after someone who had the virus) so they could visit family over the holidays, none of them have had even a hint of long term side effects and most of them didn't have 1 symptom. I realize this is anecdotal evidence but I've seen the numbers and the chances of a healthy person my age with a bmi under 20 who takes 5000 IU of vitamin D everyday getting really sick from covid is likely less than 1/1000. The big myocarditis scare never materialized - if it did you would see it in college and professional running from any of the several runners who have gotten covid. I would rather take my chances on not getting the virus at all and not getting sick from it even if I did.
I'm not anti-vaccine, but I am also in no rush to get a vaccine. My general thoughts are as such:
Biologically, I've had the virus and should have some antibodies from that incident. Apart from some lingering chest achiness that's since been resolved, I was sick with flu-like symptoms for a few days.
Politically, I don't think the government should be able to have the power to mandate a vaccine, and ultimately it should be left up to the individual whether they wish to receive a vaccine to protect themselves or not.
Anecdotally/Immaturely, I think the most effective thing that someone can do first and foremost against any illness to to exercise regularly, eat healthy, get good sleep, get sun/vit D, and think that this narrative should've been pushed far more than anything else at this point. I think we would find the virus far less impactful if that were the case.

We have seen no fall-off in immune response so far, so it's reasonable to extrapolate out for a long time.
Just like we have seen very minimal toxicity so far so also reasonable to extrapolate.... but I digress ;)

No one has died or any of the other horrible stats I see posted. While at the same time I personally know 3 people who have died from COVID and about dozen people who are dealing with COVID potential long term effects.
