Talem Franco 3:37.55
Lucas Bons 3:37.68
Conner Mantz 3:37.96
Casey Clinger 3:38.16
Has a single team ever laid down 4 times that fast in a single race? Even in a season?
Discus.

Well, way back in February of 2021, the men of oregon had 3:50, 3:50, 3:53 in the same mile race. They had other guys go 3:56 and 3:59 that same season.
The answer is yes. However, it is still impressive, though the most impressive thing is this is a team ostensibly focused on the 5k and 10k, but they threw down some elite level 1500m times. Especially for Mantz and Clinger, if they have that kind of speed right now they are going to be absolutely incredible over 5k. 13:13.5 seems highly likely if they get in a race that goes fast enough.
Well it shows that the magical shoes are even helping senior citizens.

To be fair, he was in 2nd place with about 60m to go and tied up.

So he'll be ready to go for the 1440.

The assist from the shoes is undeniable now, both in allowing harder sessions because of greater recovery and faster races. The genie is out of the bottle. All we can do now is denote pre-2018 records versus post... something like that.
Next closest for stacked in 1500/mile would probably be the Oregon team that had this during the same season. But yea in one race this is probably the craziest and then Oregon’s Teare/Hocker/Hunter mile next.
Cheserek 3:36
Daniel winn 3:39
John Gregorek 3:57 mile
Eric Jenkins 3:57 mile
Will Geohagen 3:58 mile
Sam Prakel 3:41
Blake Haney 3:41
Nikki Franzmair 3:42
Jeremy Elkaim 3:42
Colby Alexander 3:42 (ran 3:36 later that summer)
Trent Warren 3:44
Chris Brewer 3:44
One average performance doesn't write off an athlete. Name a world champion who never had a sub-par race in their career. It's so sad how quickly people will try to bring someone down.

That’s just silly. Why don’t we denote records from everything then? Is it fair to compare 2015 records to 1950? We should denote that because clearly 2015 has super shoes and super tracks compared to 1950. Have a dirt track WR. Cinder track WR. Mondo track WR. Non-mondo track WR. A 1950s WR. A 1960s WR. A WR when it’s raining. A WR when a bird flies over the track. A WR when someone drops their hot dog in the stands during the race. Where does it stop?
Every couple decades new equipment enters the game that changes everything. Do some research and see. The only difference is now we have the internet for people to type out uneducated opinions.
Here's something else pre-poster-ous

This. Hate to say it but Nike’s magic shoes are ruining the sport. Nothing more than legal PED. Everyone is now wearing them. There are even reams sponsored by other companies that using Nike and removing the swoosh. But go ahead and believe a team can have two 3:50 indoor milers and one more at 3:53. Seems ridiculous because it is.

It's a tough call with the shoe technology. Say hypothetically you had an athlete in the year 2000 with the best shoes they had then transport back to the 1950s and race against athletes in the shoes they had then. You'd have to say that was shoe PED too. If every top athlete now has access to the same shoes they all have the same advantage so it's a level playing field. It is obviously going to make current world records easier to break but that's always been the case in sport. As technology improves and athletes also have access to better nutrition, training etc it's inevitable. It's just that the latest technology has taken quite a leap over a short period of time compared to the past evolution of shoes.
Average age 26. So yeah.
Vs all other programs Average age 20.
